Where Dreams Take Root: The Heart Behind The Roan
It all begins with an idea.
There’s a sacred quiet that settles in when you create—when you pause to breathe, to build, to bring something beautiful into being. That’s what we longed for. Not just a space to make things, but a space to be made again.
As Thomas Merton once said, “Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time.” That’s the heart behind The Roan—a place where dreams take root not to impress others, but to nourish the soul.
That longing to create something meaningful was born from the most tender place in our hearts—the life and legacy of Becca’s son and our grandson, Elias Roan Jordan.
The Boy Who Taught Us to Build with Purpose
Elias Roan Jordan was born on December 10, 2020. For 38 weeks, he defied expectations—growing stronger than anyone thought he could. He came into the world breathing on his own and gave us the gift of one and a half precious hours earthside. He knew love. He gave love. And in the quiet moments between kisses, cuddles, and whispered prayers, Elias left a mark that time will never erase.
His life—though brief—was full of purpose. And it stirred something in us: a need to build a space where others could be still, be seen, and bring forth something honest and beautiful. The Roan was born from that ache and that hope. It's a place of security and intention. A space to chase God-given dreams. A space to create, to breathe, to heal.
And above all, it is a space where love—like Elias—lives on.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
